Herbie Hancock performs from a body of work that has helped shape jazz and popular music for more than six decades. His career includes the groundbreaking Miles Davis Quintet, his own influential recordings and the record-setting 1970s album Head Hunters.
The concert offers older children an introduction to an artist who continually crossed musical boundaries, blending acoustic and electric jazz with funk, rock and electronic dance sounds. Familiar milestones include “Rockit,” Future Shock and his work with V.S.O.P.
