The Illharmonic Orchestra

Thee Phantom and the Illharmonic Orchestra combine hip-hop performance with strings, horns, piano, a live DJ, a featured vocalist, and an MC. The result blends the drive and improvisational feel of a hip-hop concert with the scale and color of orchestral accompaniment.

The ensemble is among the small number of hip-hop groups to have headlined its own Carnegie Hall performance. Doors open one hour before the Jacksonville show; the late start makes this most practical for older school-age children.

The theater recommends the staffed, security-monitored Yates Building Garage. Its entrance is at 200 East Adams Street, and parking may be prepaid through ParkMobile.
