A short documentary traces the 30-year effort to save and restore the futuristic, 12-sided House of Tomorrow, created for the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair and later moved to Indiana Dunes National Park.

After the film, architects, engineers and preservation specialists explain how they reinforced the landmark’s spoke-and-wheel structure and incorporated modern materials and technology. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; the accessible program begins at 6 p.m.
