Children adopt a stuffed animal to take home, then rotate through hands-on stations about caring for their new companion. Activities cover grooming, play, first aid and pet wellness, turning the workshop into an approachable introduction to animal care.
Families can continue the theme afterward in the Cats & Dogs and I AM WILD exhibits. Children must attend with an adult. Museum admission and a $4 parking validation are included; youth tickets include the stuffed animal. Girl Scouts may also complete multiple badge-related activities during the event.
