Pedal & Play

This free family ride helps children and adults build confidence while exploring the Cultural Trail and adjoining greenways. Routes use trails, cycle tracks, and other lower-stress infrastructure, with playful breaks at places such as playgrounds, splash pads, or family attractions. Expect about an hour of casual riding plus 30–45 minutes of play and rest.

Children may ride independently or travel on an adult’s bike in a seat, trailer, tagalong, or cargo bike. Independent riders should be able to cover 3–10 miles, follow trail etiquette and traffic laws, and stay with an accompanying adult. Helmets are strongly encouraged.

Registration is required for each independent rider; children riding on an adult’s bike do not need a separate ticket. Limited adult Bikeshare bikes and loaner helmets are available. Adaptive bikes require reservations at least 48 hours ahead.
