Heartland Film presents Shrek (PG, 1 hour 29 minutes) outdoors against the Indianapolis skyline, preceded by a curated short film. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the feature begins at 7:30 p.m.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs, bug spray and sunscreen. Outside food and nonalcoholic drinks are allowed; snacks are also sold. Leashed dogs are welcome. In bad weather, the screening moves to July 30. Underground-garage parking is free while space lasts.
