Visions Jazz Ensemble performs twelve jazz arrangements of familiar songs connected to American identity and experience. The repertoire crosses classical, folk, pop, patriotic, and spiritual traditions while reflecting on the country’s 250th anniversary.
The musicians are Indiana University graduates, and the program also considers jazz as a distinctly American art form with an important place in Indiana history. This Indianapolis performance is free, with complimentary parking available in the History Center lot off New York Street.
