This outdoor concert celebrates the centennials of two jazz giants: Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald. Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame trumpeter Clifford Ratliff leads his quintet, while vocalist Sandy Lomax brings her expertise in Fitzgerald’s songbook to an evening of classic, sophisticated jazz.

Plan your evening

  • Doors open at 6 p.m.; music begins at 7 p.m.
  • Seating is limited, so families may bring lawn chairs or blankets.
  • Food from The Jazz Kitchen will be available for purchase, along with beer, wine, and soft drinks.
  • Enter through the Art Center’s main entrance on 67th Street.
  • Parking is available in the lot east of the building and along 67th Street, with overflow street parking on Ferguson Street and Cornell Avenue. IndyGo Route 19 and the Red Line also serve the area.

This is an all-ages performance, and children 12 and younger are admitted free with a paid adult. Because the concert is outdoors, the organizers will notify ticket holders if weather forces a cancellation; the announced rain date is July 22.
