Museum District
A fairy-tale-themed Zoo day featuring princess and pirate characters, wildlife exploration, and activities for families. A royal character meet-and-greet runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in McGovern Front Plaza; guests who purchase an event package can also collect their keepsake plush there.
Families can look for animals with a suitably mythical feel throughout the Zoo, including Berani the Malayan tiger, blue-throated macaws, a chameleon, and underwater species. The special programming is included with regular admission and costs nothing extra for Zoo members.
An optional $99 package covers one adult and one child’s general admission, two Mythical Realms tickets, two unlimited-carousel passes, one face-painting session, and a choice of unicorn or green-parrot Hugger plush. Members may instead purchase a $39 add-on with one Mythical Realms ticket, unlimited carousel rides, face painting, and one plush.
