Check in at the Blue Box in the Family Garden.

What to bring

  • Closed-toe shoes and long pants; clothes should be suitable for dirt, mud, and wet conditions
  • A refillable water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent
  • A completed volunteer waiver and photo release if one is not already on file
  • Optional rain gear, sun-protective layers, a wide-brimmed hat, and personal gardening gloves; project gloves are available when needed

The project proceeds in rain unless severe weather makes conditions unsafe. Any severe-weather cancellation will be sent by text or email at least one hour before the shift. Parking is available in Lot C; enter near the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion.
