Museum District
Dancers from Houston, Austin, and Dallas use classical Indian movement, vivid costumes, and music to enact stories of Krishna. The program follows him as a mischievous child, a brave protector, a rescuer, and the divine flautist whose music draws the people and animals of Gokul together. Samskriti presents the production with the Consulate General of India in Houston.
The show is designed to welcome both first-time viewers and experienced Indian-dance audiences. Covered seats require free assigned tickets released online one day before the performance; hill seating needs no ticket. The show proceeds rain or shine and will also be livestreamed.
