Prospera, an exiled duchess turned powerful sorceress, conjures a storm that brings her enemies to her island. Houston Shakespeare Festival’s production follows the resulting journey through magic, revenge, forgiveness, and renewal, with spectacle and humor designed to welcome first-time Shakespeare audiences.
The production uses strobe lighting. Free assigned tickets are required only for covered seating and become available online at 10 a.m. one day before the show; more are distributed at the box office one hour before curtain. The hill is open without tickets, and performances continue rain or shine.
