Storytelling and adventure shape this Houston Symphony program. Gonzalo Farias conducts Korngold's Overture to Captain Blood, Coleridge-Taylor's lyrical Violin Concerto in G minor with rising violinist Njioma Grevious, Strauss's virtuoso showpiece Don Juan, and Dvořák's joyful Carnival Overture.
The approximately two-hour concert includes a 20-minute intermission and is recommended for age 4 and older. Doors open one hour before the performance. Admission is free; covered seats may require complimentary tickets, while the hill offers open seating.
