Celebrate the Cistern’s 100th birthday with Foundation, an original site-specific composition by tubist Thomas Helton. Eight tuba players positioned around the former drinking-water reservoir create an immersive low-frequency performance shaped by the chamber’s unusual acoustics.
Each performance lasts about 20 minutes, and guests are invited to circulate through the Cistern while listening. The source publishes the program as a single two-hour event window.
