Detroit producer, drummer, and DJ Zach Saginaw performs as Shigeto, a name shared with his grandfather and chosen in tribute to the Japanese side of his family.
Shigeto’s richly layered electronic music brings together beat-driven instrumental hip-hop, ambient textures, early IDM, dubstep bass, jazz melody, and percussion. This performance is part of The Sounding Room, MOCAD’s rotating platform for artists working across sound, music, and performance.
