Members Morning: The Amplification Project

Museum members and their registered guests will visit The Amplification Project: Women Artists of the Arab Diaspora (Detroit) with guest presenter Biba Sheikh and a panel of participating artists. The exhibition combines visual art, installation, film, poetry, narration inspired by Arabic oral storytelling, and ambient sound to explore migration, inheritance, survival, and life between cultures.

The all-ages morning also includes traditional Middle Eastern food, trivia with prizes, time to explore the museum, coffee, tea, and pastries. Advance registration is required; guests’ names must be included. Complimentary parking is available in the museum lot on Kirby Street.
