Belle Isle
Learn about Detroit River fish and practice catch-and-release fishing with Outdoor Adventure Center educators. The program covers fish anatomy and identification before giving participants hands-on casting and fishing experience. Beginners are welcome, and equipment, bait, and instruction are provided.
Meet in the Belle Isle Nature Center parking lot. Participants must be at least 8 and should dress for outdoor conditions. Anglers 17 and older need a Michigan fishing license; younger participants may fish without one.
Preregistration is required. Vehicles also need a Recreation Passport to enter Belle Isle Park.
