Kronos Quartet comes to MOCAD for a free performance presented with Detroit’s annual Concert of Colors festival. The ensemble will perform Glorious Mahalia, a new work honoring gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.
The program continues MOCAD’s expanding presentation of live and experimental music. Concert of Colors is a long-running global-music festival staged at cultural institutions and neighborhood venues across Detroit. Museum admission will be discounted for people attending the performance.
