Bee Fest

Belle Isle Nature Center’s annual pollinator celebration combines hands-on family activities with practical ways to support bees and the ecosystems that depend on them. Visitors can learn from beekeepers and Oakland University biodiversity presenters while exploring educational displays about southeastern Michigan’s pollinators.

Activities include

• Pollinator-friendly arts and crafts
• Beeswax candle making and honey tastings
• Bee-friendly gardening advice
• Beekeeper talks, biodiversity presentations and local vendors

Admission is free and no registration is required. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required when entering Belle Isle by personal vehicle. The Nature Center’s accessibility accommodations include an accessible restroom, a wheelchair available first-come, first-served, and sensory bags at the welcome desk.
