Art Crawl: BIG, BIG Paintings

Art Crawl gives babies and their caregivers an unhurried introduction to museum-going. Educators lead a conversation in the galleries, encourage adults to follow each infant’s attention and share ideas for experiencing art together from an early age.

This session investigates the scale of Clyfford Still’s enormous canvases, then moves beneath the museum’s outdoor cantilever for messy painting and a collaborative mural. Baby-size smocks are provided, but both child and caregiver should wear clothes that can handle paint. Space is limited; registration and museum admission for the adult are required. Arrive about 10 minutes early.
