Apiary Gatherings

Members of the Central Ohio Beekeepers Association demonstrate hive care at the Conservatory apiary. Visitors may watch from outside the enclosure or participate more closely after signing a waiver.

Participation and weather

Active participants need eye protection, a veil or bee jacket, long pants, light-colored long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes. Safari-style face-and-neck veils are available to borrow. Inspections depend on safe weather and may be canceled on short notice.
