K. Shanéa and Kor4 bring a mix of R&B, soul, hip-hop, and Washington, D.C.-style go-go to Wade Oval. Free Black! opens the music, and hula-hoop entertainment circulates through the crowd.
Food trucks and dessert vendors will be onsite. Families may bring lawn seating and a picnic, but tents, outside alcohol, open flames, and charcoal grills are prohibited. The event is rain or shine unless weather becomes unsafe.
