The Flats
The Aquarium opens an hour early for guests with autism and sensory-processing differences. Attendance is reduced during this quieter visit, with limited microphone use and lower noise levels while families explore the galleries.
The KultureCity-certified venue offers sensory bags containing noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools and verbal cue cards on a first-come, first-served basis. Weighted lap pads and strobe glasses are also available, and designated quiet areas provide space for guests who need a break. The Aquarium additionally has a small private comfort room for changing or feeding.
