A section of the galleries opens early with reduced crowds, noise, and distractions for visitors with diverse sensory-processing needs. Families may explore at their own pace or use the designated calming corner.
Guests may bring wheelchairs, walkers, noise-reducing headphones, and other adaptive equipment; the museum also has a limited number of wheelchairs. Everyone passes through entrance metal detectors. Participants may remain after the museum opens to the public at 10:00 a.m. The program is free, while garage parking is $14 for nonmembers and $7 for members.
