Playtimes Past Camp

Campers explore what childhood was like a century ago and earlier. A visit to the Hay-McKinney Mansion’s restored nursery introduces spaces where children spent their time, while reproduction toys and household objects illustrate play and chores.

Children also pretend to be archaeologists, examining artifacts for clues about daily life in the past. Museum educators lead the one-morning program. Adults may remain in the museum or use drop-off and pickup; questions may be directed to education@wrhs.org or 216-721-5722 ext. 1503.
