Cleveland Cultural Gardens
University Circle
The 80th One World Day fills the Cleveland Cultural Gardens with music, dance, storytelling, cultural food, educational exhibits, and activities representing nearly 50 cultural communities. The day includes a federal naturalization ceremony and a Parade of Flags beginning at noon in the Ethiopian Cultural Garden, traveling past Centennial Peace Plaza, and ending at the Lithuanian Cultural Garden. The event proceeds rain or shine.
Family activities
- Passport to Peace sends children and families through individual gardens to learn about cultures and collect stamps.
- The Children's Village offers multicultural games and educational activities.
- Garden programs may include music, dance, crafts, language, food traditions, and cultural demonstrations.
The two-mile event footprint can be explored on foot or by bike. Free trams and shuttle buses circulate through the gardens, while courtesy golf carts are reserved for older visitors and guests needing assistance. Free parking and shuttles are available from the VA employee garage at 1606 East 105th Street and the Metroparks lakefront lot at 8701 Lakeshore Boulevard. Martin Luther King Jr. and East boulevards close to through traffic for the event.
