Explore an after-dark route filled with illuminated lantern displays, walk-through tunnels, themed areas, and hands-on lanterns operated by pedals, cranks, and steps. The evening also features an all-ages K-Pop family dance party with host-led tutorials and games. Live stage performances begin at 6:45, 7:45, 8:45, and 9:45 p.m. and last about 15–25 minutes.
The festival follows an approximately 1.5-mile paved path through the lower zoo. Some animals may be visible—especially before 8 p.m.—but animal access is limited, all buildings are closed, and Australian Adventure and the Primate, Cat & Aquatics areas are outside the event footprint. Food stands, Asian-inspired dishes, familiar zoo fare, and artisan crafts are available. The carousel and zipline operate for an additional charge; the train and 4D theater are closed.
Practical details
The event takes place rain or shine with no rain checks. Strollers, wagons, push wheelchairs, and electric scooters can be rented at the main gift shop; advance reservations are recommended for mobility equipment, and scooters are unavailable in rain. Families may bring outside food and nonalcoholic drinks, but glass bottles, disposable straws, grills, recreational wheeled devices, drones, sporting balls, and pets are prohibited.
