Create & Play: The Scandinavian Home

Young children and their caregivers explore the galleries together through educator-led activities and interactive games. This session takes its theme from The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore, an exhibition featuring Scandinavian landscapes, portraits, furniture, textiles, ceramics, silver, and other decorative arts.

The gallery visit is followed by hands-on studio time, where each child can make an artwork to take home. Advance registration is required and includes admission to the museum’s collection galleries and exhibitions.

Limited free parking is available in the museum’s on-site garage. The building provides wheelchairs, elevators, lifts, ramps, accessible restrooms, a quiet room, noise-reducing headphones, and Braille and large-print materials; additional details are available on the museum’s visitor-information page.
