Route

  1. Start at the Ashland Avenue end of the Bloomingdale Trail beside Walsh Park.
  2. Follow the elevated main path west, remaining on the trail past each neighborhood access ramp.
  3. Turn around at the Ridgeway Avenue end after 2.7 miles.
  4. Retrace the same elevated trail east to Walsh Park.

Good to know

The official trail is 2.7 miles one way, so the return makes this an unusually long easy-surface walk. The 10-foot main path is shared with cyclists and runners, and the trail is busiest in fair weather.
