The Art Exchange stays open late for an all-ages afternoon of art making, creative play, and imagination-based activities. The featured project invites families to create colorful abstract drawings inspired by Luchita Hurtado and Beyond Form: Abstraction at Midcentury.
Ryan Learning Center activities are always free, with no ticket or registration required. Children 13 and younger must remain with an adult age 18 or older. Museum admission is free for children under 14 and Chicago teens under 18; Illinois residents can also enter the galleries free from 5:00–8:00 p.m. during Free Summer Thursdays.
