Students entering grades 6–8 spend two weeks tackling authentic animal-care and environmental challenges. Campers investigate questions such as how to design an appropriate zoo-animal diet, improve habitats, and protect local waterways while meeting scientists and keepers, working in teams, taking field trips, and participating in a late-stay experience.

Campers must attend both weeks and be registered by a legal guardian according to the grade they will enter in fall. Required forms and current medical information are due by May 1 or within 72 hours of a later purchase. Phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices should not be brought to camp.

Aftercare is available until 5 p.m., subject to limited capacity and a separately announced fee. A $130 nut-free lunch package includes snacks; campers not purchasing it must bring nut-free food that needs no refrigeration.
