Young performers explore the Neo-Futurist approach to turning personal experiences and ideas into short theatrical works. A Neo-Futurist ensemble member helps campers experiment with forms such as puppetry and original songs while finding direct, inventive ways to tell their own stories.
The ensemble will create and present as many as 20 two-minute plays in a one-of-a-kind final show for family and friends in the Pritzker Family Studio Theatre. The style blends theater with elements of poetry, sport, living newspaper, and audience interaction. Free before-care runs from 9–10 a.m., with free after-care from 4–5:30 p.m. Registration is currently through the camp waitlist.
