Awilda Rodríguez Lora combines movement, sound, and a Puerto Rican-style voceteo car sound system in an outdoor performance that reimagines Wonder Woman. The work uses the pelvis and reggaetón to explore memory, resistance, the body, and liberation.
The performance itself is open to everyone. Parents should note that its artistic themes include pleasure, sexuality, gender, and self-determination. This presentation opens the separate Prime Time celebration, which is restricted to ages 21 and older.
