Celebrate Moth Week with scientists from the museum’s Negaunee Integrative Research Center and Keller Science Action Center. Families can examine real specimens and learn about moth diversity, nighttime behavior, pollination, and the ways moth populations can signal environmental change.

The program includes familiar showpiece moths as well as less obvious native pollinators found around Chicago. Visitors can ask questions, learn actions that support native plants and pollinators, and take home a free Chicagoland identification field guide. Presenters include insect scientific affiliate Alissa Doucet and Chicago-region environmental social scientist Nicole Machuca.
