This weeklong camp introduces rising third- through fifth-graders to improv and sketch comedy. Campers practice improvisation, invent characters, write sketches, and build confidence, stage presence, self-awareness, and ensemble skills. The week concludes with the newly formed comedy troupe performing for family and friends in the Pritzker Family Studio Theatre.

Free before-care runs from 8:30–9:30 a.m., and free after-care is available from 4–5:30 p.m. The listing currently directs families to a waitlist.

Camp logistics

  • Masks are welcome but optional.
  • Campers should wear movement-friendly clothing and secure, closed-toe shoes. Clothes may encounter paint, glue, or other craft materials.
  • The general camp policy asks families to pack labeled water, a nut-free lunch, and two nut-free snacks; refrigeration and microwaves are unavailable.
  • An authorized adult must sign each camper in and out. Caregivers cannot remain in the building during camp.
  • The venue offers a free adjacent parking lot, accessible parking, a ramp and elevator, and gender-neutral family restrooms with changing tables.
