Little Shop of Horrors

Porch Productions stages the comic sci-fi musical about Seymour, a struggling flower-shop assistant whose unusual plant promises fame and fortune while developing a dangerous appetite. The Alan Menken and Howard Ashman score draws on 1960s pop, rock and R&B.

The show is recommended for ages 10 and older because of stylized comic violence and mild language. Its centerpiece is a foul-mouthed, singing, people-eating plant, but the treatment is intentionally theatrical and humorous.
