Camp Wing Haven — August Session

This weeklong, full-day nature camp gives children an active, hands-on experience in the SEED Wildlife & Children’s Garden. Campers investigate songbirds, worms, insects, frogs, ponds, soil, and plants while gardening, exploring, making crafts, playing games, and singing. Each summer session covers the same topics and is limited to 24 campers.

Camp is for rising first through fifth graders, and every camper must be at least 6 years old by August 31, 2026. Families should provide a healthy, nut-free lunch and snacks each day. The daily arrival window is 8:30–9 a.m., with pickup from 4–4:30 p.m.; Wing Haven staggers both windows by last name and checks identification against the authorized-pickup list.

Camp takes place largely outdoors. Children showing signs of illness should remain home, while thunderstorms and lightning move campers into Wing Haven’s buildings. Families should review the official camp safety, medication, drop-off, and pickup protocols before attending.
