This five-day, half-day camp uses the conservatory and its plant collections as an art studio. Campers explore sun, water, earth, and movement through hands-on mixed-media projects, experimenting with techniques such as sun printing and sediment painting. The broader Garden Explorers program combines art, science, botany, gardening, educator-led activities, and behind-the-scenes encounters with the historic conservatory’s collections.

Camp logistics

  • Capacity is 16 campers with two supervising staff members, for a maximum 1:8 ratio.
  • Families may request medical or other accommodations from the education team.
  • Campers should bring a labeled reusable water bottle, a nonperishable snack, and comfortable walking shoes. Project materials are supplied, and personal valuables should remain at home.

  • Registration closes when the session fills or on its first day. Missed days are not prorated. Refund and illness policies appear in the official camp FAQ.
