USS Constitution Underway — Chief Petty Officer Heritage Week

Watch USS Constitution depart its Charlestown Navy Yard pier and travel into Boston Harbor during Chief Petty Officer Heritage Week. The public cannot join this invitation-only cruise but is encouraged to watch from shore.

The ship traditionally leaves around 10:00 AM and returns between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. Other suggested viewing locations include Castle Island, where a 21-gun salute generally occurs around 11:00–11:30 AM, and points along the Boston Harborwalk. Timing is approximate, and active-duty Navy operations are subject to change or cancellation.
