Meet the Beekeeper

Visit active honeybee colonies with Boston Nature Center and Boston Area Beekeepers Association staff. Families can inspect honeycomb, raw honey, and young bees, learn how a colony operates, try on a beekeeper jacket and veil, and watch for the queen.

Drop in during program hours. Protective jackets and veils are supplied. Wear loose long pants, socks, thick gloves, and closed-toe shoes. Avoid perfume, cologne, scented hairspray, and other strong fragrances because they may disturb the bees.
