Young campers explore the sanctuary through hiking, birdwatching, gardening, stories, art projects, games, songs, and other nature-based activities. Children join small Owl and Hawk groups designed for ages five and six, with activities appropriate for campers entering kindergarten through second grade. Typical exploration may cover one to two miles of uneven terrain.
Bring morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, water, indoor and outdoor footwear, and clothes suited to the weather. Optional supervised Before Camp care is available from 7:30–8:30 a.m. Enrollment is limited to four camp weeks per child for the season.
