This free evening pairs museum access and hands-on art with an outdoor screening of A Wrinkle in Time (2018). Families can visit the museum and Sideshow shop from 5–9 p.m. A free Draw a 3D Galaxy workshop runs from 6:30–8 p.m. in the classroom or outdoors; participation is available while supplies last, and an RSVP is encouraged.
Evening schedule
- 5–9 p.m.: Free museum and museum-store admission
- 6:30–8 p.m.: Movie-inspired galaxy art workshop
- 7:30–8:30 p.m.: Dance workshop with Dance Baltimore in the Jim Rouse Visionary Center
- 8:45 p.m.: Film begins outside on the Federal Hill side of the Jim Rouse Visionary Center
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and any favorite snacks. Popcorn, soda, and food-truck options are available for purchase. If extreme weather prevents an outdoor screening, the movie moves to the third floor of the Jim Rouse Visionary Center. Pets may join families outdoors, but only service animals are permitted inside museum buildings.
