Chess Fest with Board Room Chess

Young players and families can learn chess fundamentals or test their existing skills through friendly competition and instruction. The program welcomes both complete beginners and experienced players, with youth from Board Room Chess helping lead the day.

Board Room Chess is a Baltimore youth initiative that uses chess strategy and disciplined play to build decision-making skills, healthy competition, and supportive community spaces. The free event takes place in Lexington Market's Upper Market near the Baltimore Room; registration is encouraged.
