A beginner-friendly collage workshop exploring how familiar photographs can tell new stories when transformed. Drawing inspiration from Amy Sherald: American Sublime, participants reinterpret culturally significant images or personal photographs through cutting, tearing, layering, paper, fabric, and magazine material.
All supplies are provided, though participants may bring photographs, printed images, or other materials they want to incorporate. No prior art experience is required. The workshop is designed primarily for adults, but the museum explicitly welcomes all ages; the sustained session and tool use make it most suitable for older children.
