Soccer Summer turns the museum’s program spaces into a day of sports-themed art, science, stories, and active play.
Drop-in activities
- At the Science Bar, children compare materials for waterproofing a soccer cleat, form a hypothesis, and test it.
- In the Art Studio, families can draw, cut, and assemble a sports silhouette or complete a color-by-number reveal.
Stage schedule
- 11:30 a.m. — Max Explains Everything: Soccer Expert, a playful storytime introduction to the game.
- 2:30 p.m. — CMA Soccer Tournament, a group activity in which children join museum educators to assemble a team and play.
All activities are included with museum admission. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged because walk-up tickets are limited; infants 11 months and younger still require a free $0 ticket. Adults may enter only when accompanied by a child. The recommended parking lot is at 236 Williams Street, one block away; Peachtree Center MARTA station is about an eight-minute walk, and the Centennial Olympic Park streetcar stop is about a five-minute walk.
