Play the Animal Way

This Zoo-wide program introduces families to animal enrichment—the objects, scents, sounds, puzzles, and activities used to keep animals active, curious, and engaged. Visitors can watch animals investigate colorful surprises, follow interesting smells, and work through challenges designed by the animal-care team.

Children and adults can also try hands-on activities inspired by animal behavior, such as painting like an elephant, scavenging like a vulture, or foraging like a gorilla. Activity stations will be located at Tembo Trek, on the Gorilla Deck, and along the Zoo’s Main Spine.

Program activities are included with general admission and are free for Zoo Atlanta members and children younger than 3. Parking and arrival information is available from the Zoo.
