Meet the Atlanta History Center’s heritage-breed sheep and goats at the 19th-century Smith Farm. Animal Collections Manager Brett Bannor will demonstrate how members of the flock follow instructions, climb onto a barrel, and work for peanut treats. Families will also learn about the animals’ routines and meet sheep Daisy, Maribelle, and Hercules and goats Claud and Dorothy.

Capacity is limited. Reserve by adding general-admission tickets to the ticketing cart; the option to register for Greet the Sheep will then appear. Participation is included with museum admission. Visitors may also bring Bannor’s American Sheep: A Cultural History, available from the museum gift shop, for him to sign.
