Singer-songwriter, pianist and composer Tori Amos brings her In Times of Dragons tour to Popejoy Hall. The concert features songs from her 18th studio album alongside selections from a 35-year career that has earned eight Grammy nominations and more than 12 million album sales. Her touring ensemble includes longtime collaborators Jon Evans on bass and Ash Soan on drums, joined by backing vocalists Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka and Hadley Kennary.
The new album uses a cast of characters to explore resilience, freedom and the struggle between democracy and authoritarian control. Families should expect an evening concert built around mature political themes rather than a children’s performance; it is most suitable for older school-age children who already enjoy Amos’s music.
