This free Route 66 centennial street festival fills Central Avenue with live music, local artisans, food trucks and treats, children’s activities, and a display of show cars.
A free Park & Ride shuttle runs between the southwest corner of Lomas and University and UNM’s Johnson Field near Girard; the last shuttle departs around 10:30 p.m. The festival proceeds rain or shine. Bring water, plan for summer weather, and remember that hot asphalt can be difficult for pets.
