Barelas
In Rhythm Fest combines two days of instruction with three nights of social dancing. Thirty classes led by local and international instructors cover Casino Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Rumba, Salsa on 1 and 2, Bachata, Bachatango, Kizomba, Cha Cha Cha, Cumbia, Latin hip-hop, body movement, musicality, Guaguancó, and other styles.
Evening schedule
- Friday opens at the Albuquerque Museum, 2000 Mountain Road NW, with the Grammy-winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
- Saturday continues at FUSION, 708 1st Street NW, with San Francisco DJ Walt Digz.
- Sunday returns to the NHCC with Walt Digz and Albuquerque DJs.
Tickets
Regular options are $149 for a full-festival pass, $104 for a Saturday or Sunday day pass, $24 for a single class, or $19 for a festival social dance. Full and day passes receive a $2 discount for kids, students, seniors, and NHCC members. Ticketing help is available from the NHCC Box Office at 505-724-4771 Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
